Parvathy Omanakuttan (or Parvathi Omanakuttan) of India was crowned the first finalist in the Miss World Pageant 2008 held on December 13 in Johannesberg, South Africa. Ksenya Sukhinova Russian, was crowned Miss World 2008 after beating 109 other contestants. Gabriel Walcott, Trinidad and Tobago was runner-up.
